Churches this day in age are very particular about who they accept into their congregation and who they reach out to during their ministries. It's not their fault. Most churches just have a habit of conforming to certain standards that have come to be expected of them. The way Christians dress for Sunday service, the way they converse with each other, their mannerisms, and even the way they approach perfect strangers is something a lot of non-believers would find hard to understand. Needless to say, the Christian church just isn't a place that everyone feels at home.

So church isn't for everyone. There are churches, however, that want to be for everyone, or at least the last people you'd expect to see in Sunday school - Bikers!

Biker Church USA in Florence, North Carolina is a Christian church built by bikers, led by bikers, and reaching out to bikers. Biker Church does everything they can to make their fellow bikers and Christians feel welcome while they reach out to the untapped community and raise money for various charities. Biker Church USA is as much a church as any!

Church life today in USA is undergoing massive changes effecting the overall spiritual health. The Outreach magazine declared Lakewood Church, Houston, as the biggest church in usa based on attendance statics ( 43,500 attend weekend worship). Possessing multiple sites is the newest trend of the megachurch model. The evangelical churches in usa are, however, more contemporary and are more aggressive in their attitude as they inspire people to make a difference in the world. The study conducted by a multi-faith coalition hosted by the Hartford Seminary's Hartford Institute for Religion Research in Hartford, revealed that there has been a slow downward trickle in measures of spiritual vitality such as participation in devotional practices, church attendance and satisfaction with the quality of worship. The institute Director Roozen also added the congregations that do well are participatory and have a clear focus of their purpose

What is Church Worship?

What is Church Worship?

Church worship can be a little boring most of the time. I remember sleeping at that time when I was a child, and I felt a pesky obligation from scornful eyes to participate as I got older. The Word of God states that we are to worship Him in "Spirit and Truth". What's that mean, and what does it have to do with a worship team and choir? Not much, I guess. Throughout the New Testament it gives little regard to such operations or planning of musical rituals. It just simply says to worship Him in "Spirit and Truth". There is an occasion where Paul and another brother sang as they hung upside down beaten and bloody in a prison cell. The only other thing I can think of is an area where it mentions that when believers gather together the Spirit may give one a word, one a tongue, one an interpretation of tongues, and one a song. It hardly justifies a major production.

OneTrue Church

There is but one true Church, and it exists beyond the grasp of the commercial trappings of modern Christianity. Do we need another book of teachings? Do we need another set of dynamic teaching tapes or cd's? Does God Concern Himself with our bumper stickers? There is more to a man than his body, and in the same way the one true Church is more than the shell that blocks those who believe from a direct relationship with the Father in heaven. Jesus Christ died to reconnect us with the Father, that we may know Him through the sacrifice of his only begotten Son. Simply believe and you will find that we have no need that any man should teach us. We were given Christ so we may put him on, and we dwell in him as he dwells in us. Then, and only then, can we hear our Father's cry once more, as we in turn cry "Abba".

The Church is Us

The Church is Us

Let's go to Church? The Church is described in the Bible as the body of Christ. His followers united as one under His head and lordship. It seems simple enough to understand the base concept of what the Church is. Somewhere along the way the concept became warped into a building or temple, where in just that spot does God work and move and inspire his people to stay inside as much as possibly. No more dusty sandals for us. Actually it says that our physical body made of flesh is the temple of God. This is where He has chosen for His Spirit to live. He has chosen to live in those men and women who believe in His only begotten son. This kind of destroys the idea of going to church. At one point in the Bible it even says that we shouldn't bother building him a house at all, because the Earth is his footstool. We build them for our rituals, not because God is homeless.
